The M25 is one of our Flagship projects in the UK! It is the most used part of the UK Strategic Road Network with it seeing over 200,000 vehicles per day and it’s a critical infrastructure asset for personal and goods vehicles into and around our capital. The network includes around 800 structures and 5 tunnels, so it requires high levels of performance, constant improvement and repairs to keep it operating smoothly.We’ve formed a Joint Venture project called Connect Plus Services (CPS) to work with our partners to widen, operate and maintain the M25 under a 30-year contract and looking for a Senior Project Manager to deliver project objectives across sex key areas of performance; Health & Safety, Quantity, Cost, Environment, Delivery & People. You'll be a dynamic and self-motivated individual with a strong project background keen to deliver the complex highways schemes throughout their whole lifecycle of which range in value from £20k to £4m+. This role will also involve direct line management of project managers, assistant project managers and early careers. Other requirements also include the successful delivery of the programme of works on time and to budget.Key responsibilities / duties:Stakeholder Management - Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with the Portfolio Manager, SPM, Construction/Supervisor Teams and key internal and external stakeholders, to ensure full mutual understanding of the projects’ delivery objectives, to report on and review project performance, and to agree solutions to issues.Maintaining compliance with the DBFO contract clarifying roles and responsibilities within your team, resolving risks and issues in a timely manner, producing timely and accurate reports, and creating and maintaining specified records including change management.Identify and evaluate emerging risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints associated with the project, escalating where appropriate. Where necessary develop, agree, and implement solutions to overcome these.Lead and oversee projects throughout their whole lifecycle through feasibility, design, construction and handover. Informing investment proposals for our clients at each stageGlobal or master programme maintenance for whole portfoliosProgramme income and cost profiles, overseeing and challenging the Project Managers input.Client liaison on a project and portfolio levelChairing and driving regular project reviews to ensure the following are current and live:Project and division risk registerProject risk category (on financial spreadsheet)Review submissions register.Review of AWN Correspondence Register progress comments and milestone datesProject income and cost forecast (review of PM profiles)Project changeProject priorities (for resource allocation)Manage correspondence and queries through Aconex.Project change control and reviewing processes and procedure.Allocation of projects to PMs based on appropriate knowledge, experience, ability, and capability (workload)Work closely with the Construction/Supervisor team to ensure permits, certificates and site reporting are managed correctly and align to project needs.Managing NEC Contracts Options as Project Manager Working arrangements (shift work, need for travel etc)Ability and willingness to travel to other offices and depots on the network as and when requiredPeriodic requirement for site visits (including night shifts)Full Driving License
