DescriptionJob Title: Human Resource ManagerJob Summary: MOR PPM, an EMCOR Company, has an immediate opening for a Human Resource Manager at the Company's headquarters in Society Hill, SC.This position will be responsible for handling the daily responsibilities of employee relations, risk management, corporate initiatives, leave administration, and compliance. This role will report directly to the PPM Human Resources Director and collaborate with a peer Recruiting HR Manager.The Manager of Human Resources will proactively engage with business stakeholders to deliver HR initiatives that support business objectives and drive growth for the business and its people.The Manager of Human Resources will provide counsel to business leaders and managers on a variety of HR related topics, partnering with Recruiting HR Manager on an emphasis on driving strategic recruiting initiatives to attract the right talent for our organization. The Manager of Human Resources will also be responsible for resolving employee relations matters and carrying out responsibilities in the following functional areas: performance management, coaching, compensation, onboarding, policy implementation, and compliance.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Administer HR programs related to employee relations, HR policy management, compliance and HR reporting, employee development and performance management:Employee Relations and HR Policy Management:

Provide advice and counsel to managers to facilitate the resolution of employee relations matters.

Review disciplinary management process/forms and deliver program to the field along with providing Training.

Support PPM Site Manager’s in conducting workplace investigations.

Advise operations leaders on HR Policy matters to support effective interpretation and implementation of Employee Handbook Policies and Site-Specific Policies under direction of HR Director.

Drive adherence to Employee Handbook policies and respond to HR policy related issues or inquiries.

Assists HR Director with creating and supporting processes geared at supporting the field understanding connectivity challenges.

Assist with and support Workers Compensation claims management and resolution.

Compliance and HR Reporting:

Work in various systems on tracking and providing HR metrics, extracting information from two to three databases and compiling reports for distribution or analysis.

Assess compliance adherence to human resources policies and procedures as well as applicable federal, state, and local legislation and regulations.

Ensure timely submittal of federal, state, and local reporting requirements including but not limited to: EEO-1 data collection, Veteran status reporting, Affordable Care Act (ACA) requirements and affirmative action program (AAP) reporting.

Partners with Corporate Safety on providing random drug test population reports and helps to address any deficiencies.

May assist on implementation team of Workforce Planning tools.

Assists in wage and labor study data collection.

Benefits:

Support PPM Benefit Specialist in administration of benefits programs and serve as a liaison between employees, benefit specialist and corporate plan administrators. Will work in collaboration of PPM Benefit Specialist on Annual Enrollment.

Oversee and/or administer appropriate leave of absence processes and procedures (and in conjunction with ADA or W/C) and ensure sensitive employee information is secured according to Federal and State requirements.

Employee Development and Performance Management:

Actively build positive relationships with employees to promote a positive, safe, and effective work environment.

Support management with employee performance management with goal of minimizing job expectation gap and achieving success for both the employee and the company.

Work under the direction of the HR Director on addressing internal talent development.

OnBoarding:

Initiates requests for equipment, systems, resources, and business cards for new hires in administration roles.

Assists in navigating administration hires through the EMCOR/PPM network closely in the first six-months.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.

A minimum of five years of experience in Human Resources.

Prior experience in construction, manufacturing or other related industry is preferred.

Human Resources Certification (PHR or SPHR) is preferred .

Knowledge of federal and state employment and labor and benefit legislation and regulations.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Must be results-oriented and demonstrate strong attention to detail.

Able to analyze data, synthesize and provide recommendations.

Proficient in O365, Teams, OneDrive, SmartSheet. Able to export data from multiple systems and use V or X Lookup to facilitate data comparison points. Must have an aptitude and thirst for technical solution momentum.

Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:

May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds

Must possess enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above

Must be able to move in and around confided spaces and uneven areas

Must have full range of motion consistent with age

Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders

Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises

Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces

Safety/Steel toe shoes are required
