The U.S. Air Force has recognized our team as providing top-quality services.You will be part of the 9th Air Force (9AF) United States Air Force Central Command (AFCENT), which is the Air Force Service Component of United States Central Command (USCENTCOM), a joint Department of Defense combatant command responsible for U.S. security interests in 27 nations that stretch from the Horn of Africa through the Persian Gulf region, into Central Asia. This position supports the Operations Directorate (A3).The GFM Operations Plans Strategic Support position supports AFCENT/A3 by assisting with the management of the staffing process for HAF, ACC, Joint Staff and USCENTCOM GFM related tasking. This position provides consulting and advisory services to the team supporting AFCENT managment of operational and strategic planning. This includes assitin with management of oversight, policy and guidance for the GFM function of attached forces across the USCENTCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR). You will intervace with USAF commands higher headquarters Air Force and USCENTCOM to ensure AFCENT equities are implemented into the GFM allocation plan (GFMAP).In this role you will also:

Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to manage staffing process for USAF, Joint Staff Force Providers, and CENTCOM GFM related tasking.

Manage and assist deployed units in crafting Global Force Management products.

Provide SME services and staffing review of AFCENT Request For Forces (RFF) and REDEPORDs prior to submission to the Combined Force Component Commander.

Provide strategic level consulting in all aspects of GFM operations planning for USAFCENT to include forecasting AFCENT requirements (secret and top secret) and providing inputs to joint and combined manning requests.

Act as alternate 9 AF AFCENT rated FAM to provide expertise and oversight to 9 AF AFCENT deployed rated staffs.

Provide support of Force Requirements Enhanced Database (FRED) and Joint Capabilities Requirements Manager (JCRM) GFM tools sets.

Be responsible for QC and submission of 9 AF AFCENT database Change Requests (CRs).

Be responsible to set up and manage AFCENT led GFM management meetings.

Attend and provide SME input to HHQ GFM related conferences as required.

Assist with training and providing continuity to newly assigned action officers to the Current Operations Division.

Provide GFM overview briefing to deployers as required.

Provide consulting in all aspects of operations planning for USAFCENT to include basing, force flow and integration into combined missions.

Assist in coordinating development of CJCS-directed deliberate plans during steady-state operations.

Assist in effective deployment of response forces to meet emergent contingencies.

Coordinate and provide assistance to functional area managers within the headquarters and provide assistance as they define requirements in the USAF deployment system for units such as operations support squadrons and air component coordination elements.

Analyze requirements database (JOPES/DCAPES) for current operations.

Build contingency requirements based on current operations.

Review current and future training and exercise plans, AF instructions, and joint publications and make recommendations for improvement as well as incorporation into FAM training programs.

QualificationsTo be successful in this position you will have:

An active DoD Secret clearance

HS Diploma / GED

Five years' experience

18 months experience in the USCENTCOM AOR.

Three years’ experience in a staff organization working with GFM functions and databases.

Three years’ experience with JCRM applications and JOPES and DCAPES databases.

One year experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications/e-mail systems or the equivalent.

The ability to travel up to 10%
