Overview and Essential FunctionsGlobe Communications, LLC is an established utility contractor providing a variety of services to the cable television, and telecommunications industry. These services include engineering, design, installation, and maintenance for all phases of inside and outside voice, video and data networks. Globe's experienced management team is committed to offering the highest level of assurance and satisfaction to its customers.Overview: Knowledge of established aerial cable installation procedures and techniques including the placement of poles and anchors, familiarity with wide range of tools and equipment, ability to read and understand work orders, safety rules, and operating instructions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Prioritize and plan work activities, uses time efficiently

Lead and train crew while adhering to all safety procedures

Follow production procedures, accurately track and submit daily reports and paperwork

Complete work orders through supervisor’s direction and customer specifications. Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan.

Accountable for issued truck, trailer, tools, signs, cones and other equipment

Safely identify utilities in the work area and recognize electrical and other safety hazards

Adhere to all company policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and requirements

Ensure completion of work responsibilities and special projects in accordance with the designated timeframe

Adhere to Company ethical requirements, demonstrating the utmost integrity in all professional and personal matters

Perform all other duties as assigned

QualificationsQualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

High School Diploma or equivalent

3 years related experience in working with aerial/buried/underground energized electrical lines

Valid driver’s license and CDL required

Special Physical Requirements of the Job/Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; bend, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and climb or balance. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required in this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Work in an outdoor environment year round, including very hot (>90 F) and very cold (<32 F). Routinely required to work flexible schedule based on the needs of the business which include being available nights/weekends to perform emergency work. Special Skills:

Ability to read a tape measure and other measuring devices.

Ability to read, write, add, subtract and multiply

Experienced in reading engineering drawings and site plans

Knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations and requirements

Experienced in the operation and maintenance of heavy equipment

Familiar with bucket truck operation and ability to climb telephone poles
