Job ResponsibilitiesServes as a criminal analyst in the SCDC Division of Police Services.

Performs intelligence/technical analysis and raw analysis from all sources to determine criminal activities.

Field and handle requests from federal, state, and local jurisdictions to determine criminal activities and provide timely collection and dissemination of information.

Create reports and/or databases for the purpose of intelligence gathering and sharing needs of the division.

Operates in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment using a variety of databases.

Works independently, or as part of a team or task force, to gather and review information related to specific criminal or administrative investigations to include, but not limited to, social media and security threat groups.

Must be able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.

A high school diploma and professional experience involving research, data management and record-keeping activities. A Bachelor's degree with mathematics and/or statistics courses may be substituted for the required work experience.SCDC Minimum Requirements:

A high school diploma and four (4) years experience in data analysis, research methods, theory, and statistics, preferably in a law enforcement capacity. Ability to conduct complex statistical and analytical studies.
