Position Description: The Windows System Administrator will play an integral role on the NIWC-LANT CSSP Infrastructure and Platform Sustainment (CIPS) team supporting local and remote user desktop machines and servers. The candidate is expected to have systems administration skills with Windows 10/2012 R2/2016/2019 operating systems. This position will focus on systems and application stability, security, performance, and capacity management, as well as documentation.Education:
Possess a high school diploma or GED
Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 years’ experience with Windows desktop and server operating systems in:
System installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, preventative maintenance, capacity planning, monitoring, and security procedures.
Active Directory forests, domains, group policy management, OU/security group/user/computer object administration, Sites and Services, DNS, and DHCP.
Certifications:
DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification & DoD 8570 CSSP Infrastructure Support Certification
Highly Desired Skills:
Automated desktop deployment systems
Dell laptops, notebooks, and mobile workstations
VMWare vSphere 6.x
Server hardware installation, maintenance and troubleshooting
Networking (LAN/WAN/Firewall/VPN)
SharePoint administration
DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance
Experience working in classified spaces
Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
RequirementsPosition Requirements and Duties:
Responsible for the sustainment of systems within enterprise-class environment
Provide support for emergent Windows operating system issues
Competent and adaptable in all areas of Windows systems administration
Other Duties as assigned
Additional Information:
Authorized to view audit records on Central Log Server
Authorized to administer all DNS Servers and all zones
