Find your future with us.Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an Experienced Fabrication Specialist (Level C) to support the Fabrication Emergent Operations Team over the EOSC Wire Shop in North Charleston, South Carolina on 3rd Shift! Shift hours are: 11pm – 5:30am.Emergent Operations is seeking an Experienced Fabrication Specialist (Level C) that is willing to teach, learn and maintain the commitment to safety and quality that is EOSC and to work independently with minimal oversight.In this role team members will support the 787 program with wire bundle fabrications to order; these could be custom wire bundles, replacement production bundle or wire bundle modifications. In addition, the shop supports the 787 program with wire re-work to include but not limited to wire replacements, splicing damage, removal and replacement of electrical connectors; along with the many tasks and plans required to perform this re-work on aircraft sections and/or completed aircraft.Position Responsibilities:

Performs machine set-up.

Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products.

Performs complex wire harness repairs and re-work.

Executes Supplier wire bundle modifications and bundle changes.

Perform tests on wire harnesses to verify correct build and serviceability.

Remove and replaced circular, rectangular, in-line and quick disconnect connectors.

Install and re-work pressure feed through fittings.

Works on complex components and systems using established drawings and requirements.

Ability to obtain/maintain confined space certification.

Ability to obtain/maintain fall protection certification.

Must maintain all necessary certifications to perform the job.

Must be able to perform all aspects of this position.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at North Charleston, SC.Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

Must be willing to work a 3rd shift.

1+ years of experience of 787 Operations.

1+ years of experience with 787 wire fabrication and rework.

1+ years of experience with Velocity, REDARS, PSDS, CMES.

1+ years of experience working with Microsoft Office Tools (Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word).

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Confined Space Certification and Fall Protection Certification.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

1+ years of experience in the use of wiring tooling, equipment and hand tools.

1+ years of excellent performance in a fast-paced work environment.

1+ years of experience effectively communicating status of parts and material using automated systems and manual reporting methods to ensure parts availability at an accelerated rate in a dynamic environment.

1+ years of experience coordinating with various functions to set priorities, expedite and complete production activities to avoid schedule delays.

Ability to work independently under general supervision.

5S Experience & Knowledge (Lean, Six Sigma a plus).

Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
