Job Title: Construction InspectorJob DescriptionAs a Construction Inspector, you will dedicate the majority of your time on-site, engaging in construction-related inspections that demand specific certifications and/or experience. Your role includes performing daily inspections to monitor quality and adherence to building code requirements, construction drawings, and project specifications. You will conduct inspections across multiple disciplines or within your area of expertise, such as structural steel, concrete, or masonry. Your responsibilities also encompass visual/physical inspections and field testing to ensure conformance with plans and specifications. You will prepare detailed inspection reports, document observations, test material results, and communicate findings to engineers or project managers. Additionally, you will collaborate with project teams to address potential issues and adhere to strict safety standards.Hard Skills

Construction Inspection experience

ACI, ICC, NICET certifications (Soil, Concrete, Masonry) or EIT in civil, mechanical, electrical, geotechnical fields

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

Soft Skills

Strong reporting and communication skills

Basic data analysis proficiency

Effective collaboration and team-working capabilities

Job TypeThis is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).Work SiteThis is a fully on-site position in North Charleston, South Carolina.Work EnvironmentWork hours are from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, with potential Saturdays. A work truck is provided (MVR required). The role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions and field locations, near heavy operating equipment, and in areas with varying noise levels. It requires using personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety-toe boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection. Physical tasks include standing, walking, stooping, crouching, and occasionally lifting up to 30 pounds.
