Description We are seeking a meticulous and responsible Bookkeeper for a contract to hire opportunity in the Hospitality industry located in North Charleston, South Carolina. This role involves managing financial records, processing accounts, and overseeing various accounting operations. It provides an excellent platform to showcase your skills in accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and QuickBooks.Responsibilities: Prepare accurate financial statements for review Process accounts payable and accounts receivable in a timely manner Manage bank and general ledger reconciliations, along with payroll processing Prepare quarterly tax filings diligently Perform month-end closings and ensure all financial data is accurate Track fixed assets and prepare depreciation schedules Supervise accounting clerks and junior bookkeepers to ensure smooth workflow Prepare the trial balance and ensure it aligns with the financial statements Utilize QuickBooks for various accounting operations and data management. Requirements Candidate must possess skills in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management. Demonstrated ability to prepare Journal Entries, including Month-end Journal Entries and Monthly Journal Entries. Proficiency in using QuickBooks for account management and bookkeeping. Experience in Bank Reconciliations is essential. Knowledge of Ledger Journal Entries and Journal Entry Preparation is required. Ability to Post Journal Entries accurately and efficiently. Previous experience in the hospitality industry will be an advantage. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.
