Join our team at Palmetto Farms in Aynor! We're looking for dedicated individuals to join our production facility and contribute to the creation of our high-quality grits and cornmeal products. Here's what the job entails:
Assembly Line Work: You'll play a crucial role in the assembly line process, assisting with milling, packaging, casing, and palletizing our products.
Packaging Mail Orders: Attention to detail is key as you prepare and package mail orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in fulfillment.
Cleaning and Sanitizing: Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards is essential for upholding our commitment to quality and safety. You'll be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work areas.
Work Schedule: The job offers a consistent schedule, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with two 15-minute paid breaks and a one-hour lunch break. Occasionally there may be days without work if materials are not in place for production. Typically, there are other cleaning responsibilities that can be used to fill the time.
Physical Requirements: You'll need to be capable of lifting 20-30 lb cases regularly, so physical fitness is important for this role.
Optional Forklift Operation: While forklift experience is a bonus, it's not a requirement. If you're comfortable operating a forklift, there may be opportunities to do so within the facility.
Starting Pay: We offer a starting pay of $13 per hour.
Time Off: After completing 6 months of work on the job, we offer 1 week of paid vacation annually.
