Personal injury/workers' compensation law firm is seeking an experienced paralegal to start immediately. This position is full-time, and experience as a litigation paralegal is required. You would also be exposed to general civil litigation matters, probate and estate work. We offer a fantastic working environment. Salary commensurate with experience.
Candidate will be responsible for handling a full caseload of personal injury and comp cases, and will assist the attorneys with: organizing pre-litigation files, medical record requests, drafting demands, drafting and filing complaints, propounding and responding to discovery, drafting memos and motions, calendaring events, preparing cases for trial, etc.
Required Skills:
Proficiency w/Microsoft Office (mainly Word, Outlook, and Excel)
Excellent writing and oral skills
Experienced with filing procedures
Proficient in calendaring and meeting deadlines
Experience with practice management software desired but not required.
