The Tasting Room on 9th, the newest venture in The Art and Innovation District, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team. About the Role:

We are looking for an individual with prior kitchen management and line experience who is highly organized, a self-starter, and capable of running a smooth kitchen operation. The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for:

Maintaining kitchen operations to DHEC health and safety standards

Creating menus for wine pairings, specials, and service

Assisting with special events and private dining experiences

Managing inventory, placing food orders, and controlling costs

Overseeing kitchen cleanliness, organization, and daily prep

Training and leading kitchen staff while fostering a team-oriented environment

Ensuring efficient service and food consistency

Ability to take direction and work collaboratively with ownership and staff

Working nights and weekends as required

Qualifications:

1+ year of kitchen management experience or a similar leadership role

Strong line cooking experience with a focus on quality and consistency

Ability to develop creative menus and execute wine pairings and specials

Proven experience in inventory management and ordering

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Ability to lead a team with a positive, solution-oriented attitude

Must be a self-starter who can work independently and take initiative

Flexible schedule – nights and weekends required

What We Offer:

The Tasting Room on 9th is a locally run, chef-driven restaurant with high standards and a strong reputation in the community. This is a long-term, year-round, full-time position with room for growth.

Pay is based on experience and is negotiable.

Schedule:

Open Wednesday – Sunday

Closed Monday/Tuesday (private events only as scheduled)
