Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager

Description Our client is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to manage a project within their AP department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable processes and a proven track record of managing projects to successful completion. As the AP Supervisor/AP Vendor Master, you will be responsible for overseeing the project, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments, and maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures. This is a contract role expected to last 3-6 months in the Myrtle Beach, SC area. Responsibilities:+ + Manage a specific project within the AP department, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments

Supervise a team of AP staff assigned to the project, providing guidance and support as needed

Review and approve invoices, expense reports, and payment requests related to the project

Work closely with other departments to resolve any issues or discrepancies related to the project

Develop and implement policies and procedures specific to the project to improve efficiency and accuracy

Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Prepare and analyze project-related AP reports for management review

Assist with month-end close processes as needed

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Experience operating in Sage Software

5+ years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role

Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and best practices

Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment

Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
