Provides test interpretation and clinical advice, which requires regular contact with patients, families, hospital staff and physicians. The Speech Therapist evaluates, assesses and establishes a treatment plan to meet the speech, language and/or oral-motor needs of the client. The Speech Therapist is responsible for determining and recommending functional communication systems for use by the patient as well as additional studies to evaluate swallowing and oral-motor functioning.To promote the profession of Speech Language Pathology by providing education to students, hospital staff, and other professions.Minimum Qualifications:Education: Master’s in Speech/Language Pathology from an accredited college/university.Experience: N/A.Licensure/certification: Current licensure to practice speech language pathology in the state of South Carolina is required. Holds the certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA or is in the CFY process.
