Key Responsibilities:Financial Strategy & Compliance Oversight: Collaborate with the APAC Head of Finance, other Finance Managers, and Regional Controllers to ensure robust compliance with accounting, regulatory, and tax requirements in the South Asia region. Your expertise in local iGAAP (IFRS/US GAAP) will be crucial in guiding Wise's financial strategy and operations.Audit & Regulatory Management: Oversee local audits, manage relationships with outsourced firms, and ensure financial regulatory compliance across the South Asia region.Cross-Functional Business Partnering: Act as the primary Finance contact for the South Asia Regional Expansion, Banking, Compliance, Product, and People Teams. Ensure that new entities, products, and legislative changes are financially sound and optimized for growth.System & Process Optimization: Partner with the Finance Product team and Group Accounting to align systems, controls, and processes with regional needs, ensuring clarity and effective change management.Financial Reporting Accuracy: Conduct thorough monthly and quarterly reviews of financial statements to ensure accuracy and integrity for your assigned entities.
