job detailsOur nationwide client is looking for a top tiered Quality Supervisor to work in Swansea, SC. You'll oversee quality control processes, mentor a dedicated team of inspectors/technicians/associates, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure adherence to standards and resolve quality-related issues. This is a first shift position with weekend work occassional throughout the month, anything over 45-50 hours is compensated heavily. Ensures achievement of production schedules in accordance with the objectives of cost - quality - lead time.
Enforce compliance with Quality system and proper appliance of the defined processes and procedures to meet the required quality level.
Organizes the training needs of teams.
Contributes to the industrial processes improvement with the functions supports.
Responsible for people management including: goal setting, performance management, competency development, recognition, engagement, and well-being.
Bachelor's Degree required
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems.
Knowledge of ISO9000 standards
Lead implementation of new digital quality tools
Understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
The essential functions of this role include:
working in a smoke free environment
wearing steel toe shoes
standing for 7 hours at one time
working up to 8 hrs of overtime per week
