Privately owned medical office is looking for experienced CMA/RMA to join our clinical team. We are looking for a MA who thrives in a fast-paced office, who is highly organized, able to prioritize daily tasks and patient correspondence, as well as possess a caring demeanor and good interpersonal skills.

Previous office experience preferred. Current state license, BLS training, computer and keyboarding skills required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Summary of Duties: Provides patient care in a Primary Care office setting. Assists providers and staff in coordinating patient care. Functions as a primary liaison between patients, families, staff and providers.

Some of the job descriptions are:

Reads patient’s vital signs - temperature, pulse, blood pressure, height, weight -records as required.

Administers/documents medication, vaccines, and treatments.

Assists in the maintenance of clean and safe examining rooms.

Will assist as needed to complete patient referrals.

Operates EKG equipment and prepare patients for Holter monitoring equipment.

Assists provider with procedures by setting up equipment and supplies.

Accurately completes and maintains medical records and documents.

Performs telephone communication.

Provides general nursing care to patients. Demonstrates acceptable time management techniques.

Education:

Must be a High School Graduate and have completed a Medical Assistant Training Program and have a SC CMA certification (Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant).

Skills/Experience:

Primary Care office experience preferred.

Knowledge of adult disease processes.

Possess knowledge of approved medical abbreviations and correct spelling of the English language.

Ability to work with non-cooperative patients, patients with psychosocial problems and needs, or chronic and acute health problems.

Ability to adapt to various work assignments.
