Description We are on the hunt for a diligent Staff Accountant to join our team in the non-profit sector. Based in Greenville, South Carolina, this role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. As a Staff Accountant, you will be involved in various accounting tasks including preparing journal entries, assisting with audits, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and reconciling general ledger accounts. Your expertise in accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP will be crucial in performing your duties.Responsibilities: Prepare accurate journal entries and account reconciliations Assist with both operational and financial audits Support in the month-end and year-end close process Prepare financial statements aligning with industry standards Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts Research and correct account discrepancies in a timely manner Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Perform bank reconciliations ensuring accuracy Use accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP proficiently Maintain accurate records and provide timely updates to the team. Requirements Must possess a degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required Must demonstrate proficiency in conducting Bank Reconciliations Prior experience with General Ledger management is essential Ability to prepare and maintain Journal Entries is necessary Familiarity with Month End Close procedures is required Experience with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP is preferred Must exhibit strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary Must demonstrate high attention to detail and accuracy Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion is a must Experience working in a Non-Profit organization is a plus.
