Description Robert Half is looking for a Senior Accountant for a short-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Review financial results (benchmarks, trends, performance metrics)
Be a part of various department-wide initiatives
Achieve compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners
Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Constantly improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Other projects as required
Put together monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Work with internal and external auditors to coordinate quarterly reviews and testing Requirements - Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing, with functional department managers
Competence with financial data analysis and report generation that is prompt and accurate
Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience
Deep understanding of reconciliations
Month end closings experience
Journal entries experience highly desired
Knowledge of general ledger
Microsoft Excel experience preferred
Proven knowledge of bank reconciliations
Well-founded grasp of Ledger Reconciliations
Notable analytical, quantitative and social skills
Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Expertise in financial reporting
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are highly desired
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
