Description Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Printer/Hardware Technician to join our team on a 3-month contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining printers, scanners, and related hardware equipment. Successful candidates should possess strong technical skills, particularly in the area of soldering, and have a proven track record in hardware diagnostics and repair.Responsibilities:Printer and Scanner Maintenance:Perform routine maintenance on printers, scanners, and associated hardware to ensure optimal performance.Identify and address hardware issues, including component failures and connectivity problems.Replace or repair faulty printer/scanner parts as needed.Troubleshooting and Diagnosis:Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware problems using a variety of diagnostic tools and techniques.Analyze error messages and user reports to identify issues and develop effective solutions.Soldering and Component Replacement:Proficiently perform soldering and desoldering operations to repair or replace damaged components on circuit boards.Handle sensitive electronic components with care to prevent damage during soldering and assembly.Software Configuration:Install and configure printer/scanner drivers and software updates as required.Ensure compatibility and connectivity with various operating systems.Documentation:Maintain detailed records of hardware repairs, parts used, and service history.Create and update technical documentation and user manuals as necessary.Quality Assurance:Conduct thorough testing and quality checks on repaired hardware to verify proper functionality.Implement preventive measures to reduce future hardware failures.Customer Support:Provide technical support to end-users and address their inquiries and issues promptly and professionally.Offer guidance and training to users on proper hardware usage and maintenance.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant coursework preferred.Proven experience as a Printer/Hardware Technician with soldering skills.Strong knowledge of printer and scanner hardware components and systems.Proficiency in soldering and desoldering techniques.Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software for hardware troubleshooting.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 pounds).Working Conditions:This position is onsite, and the technician will be required to work within a structured office environment.Occasional weekend or evening work may be necessary to minimize downtime for critical equipment.Protective gear and safety precautions will be provided for soldering and handling hazardous materials.Duration: 3-Month ContractIf you are a skilled Printer/Hardware Technician with experience in soldering and are ready to take on this challenging and rewarding contract opportunity, we encourage you to apply.
