About the Position: This position is with the 404th Army Field Support Brigade, Support Services Division. This position may be filled as a term appointment NTE 13 months. See 'Additional Information' section for further guidance. Responsibilities Complete cursory review of position descriptions to ensure compliance with position management and classification principles. Confirm accuracy of information in official Requests to Fill (RTF) such as position paragraph and line number, and position description number. Provide training and assistance on civilian personnel matters to managers and supervisors. Interpret new and updated human resource management directives, policies, procedures, requirements for managers. Provide accurate and timely processing of various requests for personnel actions (RPAs) in multiple databases and other Human Resources actions to higher headquarters and external agencies. Review proposed workforce management and official structure actions for accuracy, objectivity, completeness, and sustainability. Communicate effectively with external stakeholders on workforce planning initiatives and actions. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Initiating recruitment and selection processes for serviced organizations; 2) Advising management on personnel regulations and administrative practices; and 3) Monitoring the recruitment status of personnel actions to prepare reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest. This position is not eligible for regular and recurring telework. This position is eligible for situational telework only, including emergency and OPM prescribed "unscheduled telework". Situational telework is sometimes also referred to as episodic, intermittent, unscheduled, or ad-hoc telework. Situational telework is approved on a case-by-case basis, where the hours worked were not part of a previously approved, ongoing, and regular telework schedule. Position may be filled as a term appointment NTE 13 months. Term appointments may be extended beyond six (6) years, up to eight (8) years depending upon the needs of management. With DoD approval, term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years. Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a term appointment will be appointed/converted into a term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.
