Employee Type:RegularWork Shift:Night - 12 hour shift (United States of America)Join Team Tidelands and help people live better lives through better health!Position Summary :The LPN participates in the provision of nursing care by performing specific activities and technical procedures as delegated by a Registered Nurse.Essential Functions:

Planning and managing patient care according to each patient’s needs

Interviewing patients and recording their medical history

Obtaining patient vital signs and escorting patients to their rooms

Administering injections of medications

Verifying that patient charts are updated promptly and accurately

Observing and recording patients’ conditions and reactions to medications and treatments

Other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSEducation:

Diploma as a Practical Nurse

Experience :

Clinical LPN experience preferred.

Licenses/Certifications :

Current LPN licensure with South Carolina Board of Nursing.

American Heart Association Healthcare provider course with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required to be initially completed with the Tidelands Health Organizational Development Office within 30 calendar days of hire date (exceptions to obtain certification from a provider other than the TH Organizational Development Office are approved by TH Organizational Development on a case-by-case basis). BLS Recertification is required every two (2) years.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities :

Works with patients, families, physicians, and other health care providers.

Meditech experience preferred.

Strong PC skills preferred.

Physical Requirements : Medium Physical Agility Test (PAT) RatingWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently (activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) required to stand, sit, and walk; occasionally (activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) to use hands, fingers; and frequently to talk or hear.
