Primary Job Responsibilities

Manage the daily activities of the Production Operations Teams

Delegate assignments to appropriate teams and personnel

Manage production output by interacting with supervisory and managerial members in various departments

Manage quality control programs, maintains orderly schedule and production team.

Manage overall production plans, while identifying and solving problems that may impact production

Plan and assign work schedules to meet the needs of plant operations

Ensure development of employees through cross-training programs to expand the skill levels

Direct safety training programs and safety meetings to ensure adherence to all government and company policies

Develop plans to meet company goals of the plant operation

Monitor employee performance, conduct and work behavior; provide coaching and training tips to ensure adherence to company standards for quality and quantity of work

Oversee final inspection of finished products prior to delivery

Communicate with the VP of Operations to provide status updates, production goals, concerns and problem resolution; participate in strategy sessions

Analyze inventory activities and ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained

Assigns work to departments personnel in accordance with production schedule.

Manage machinery and equipment maintenance procedures and schedules and cleanup routines for workstations to ensure that production is uninterrupted

Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers at all times

Coordinate with Plant, Service Center & Distribution Ops to ensure customer expectation adherence

Conduct ongoing review of existing business processes and tools; identify and implement innovative, technology-based business solutions.

Contribute to a culture of collaboration in which employees demonstrate teamwork, support cross- functional responsibilities, and contribute to the professional development of peers.

Assist in the development and implementation of department policies.

Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Review and adhere to all Company policies and procedures.

Abide by and demonstrate the Company’s mission, vision and values through both individual behavior and job performance on a day-to-day basis.

Utilizes recruiting and selection tools/processes to build organizational talent

Delegates work according to employee’s abilities and skills

Evaluates employee’s performance and plans for compensation actions in accordance with that performance

Creates opportunities for employee growth

Provides continuous coaching with regard to functional and leadership standards (technical skills and behaviors)

Required Education/ Experience

Bachelor's Degree preferred

Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in component production management or equivalent assembly industry

Working knowledge of lean tools and methodology, Six Sigma or similar preferred
