Responsible for pre-weighing of raw materials in support of manufacturing. The Support Technician performs daily housekeeping and monthly safety inspections.Essential Functions:Cleans portable equipment in the Small Parts Cleaning Facility by setting-up, cleaning, operating, and maintaining equipment; following procedures and documenting actions. Performs pre-weigh of raw materials to support manufacturing. Performs monthly safety inspections of the manufacturing building. To include operating safety showers and eyewash stations. Ensures a safe and clean work environment by aligning with current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and standard operating procedures; staying in sync with legal regulations; monitoring the environment. Responsible for general maintenance that includes area cleaning, painting and moving materials as needed Ensures equipment remains in operating condition by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; calling for repairs. Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Ensure appropriate housekeeping and equipment maintenance. Coordinate the receipt, safe storage, transfer and off-site disposal of recycled material, trash and hazardous waste. Perform other duties as required.Education:To competently perform this job, a candidate will need the education generally obtained with a High School Diploma or equivalentExperience:At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing support operations, preferably in a GMP environment.Equivalency :Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.Competencies: The preferred level of competency could generally be obtained through a High School Diploma or equivalent with 3-5 years of experience. Experience in hightly regulated environment, and knowledge of Microsoft Office.Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; sit and to talk, hear or smell. The employee is occasionally required to walk and stoop, or kneel, crouch. The employee must also occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
