- BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
- 4+ years of relevant experience in electronic design/testing at a PCBA level.
- Experience with Altium Designer
- Experience with embedded software concepts.
- Embedded systems design, development, testing, and troubleshooting of analog and digital circuits related to existing and new product
- Design process will involve adherence to EN standards, IEEE standards, and internal Faiveley WPT standards.
- Control systems, Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
- CPDL and FPGA logic devices with VHDL programming
- Microcontroller/Microprocessors and peripherals
- PCB design/layout
- EMI/EMC testing
- Analyze and develop solutions for technical issues as it relates to product development.
- Position will interface with customer interaction through Project Manager and Engineering Project Manager.
- Knowledge of CMMI/ISO/IRIS a plus.
- Design, analysis, debugging, testing, and updating digital electronic systems and components (PCB/PCBA).
- Design of test/validation procedures for digital electronic systems and components.
- Expertise in using development/test equipment such as DDM, oscilloscope, function generator, and logic analyzers.
- Design of microprocessor interface circuits to external systems.
- Position will also involve supporting manufacturing of designs through Assembly and Purchasing groups.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
