DRIVER REQUIREMENTS/ WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
You’re great at driving, but do you have what it takes to be in full control? Below are our minimum requirements, but successful FR8 LYFT owner operators are a little different than other drivers.
If you need control and are willing to put in the extra time it takes to reap the rewards of calling the shots, lease to FR8 LYFT and you will do great.
AGE & EXPERIENCE
25 years or older
Last 2 years of verifiable OTR experience
CDL must have been active for last 2 years
Experience in proper preparation of driver’s daily log
Current DOT physical and medical card
TWIC card preferred (not required)
Smartphone
Headset
VIOLATIONS & ACCIDENTS
No license suspension/disqualification for traffic convictions in past 3 years
No drug/alcohol related convictions (DUI/DWI) in past 5 years, and never in a commercial vehicle
No more than 2 moving violations in any type of motor vehicle in past 3 years
No more than 1 preventable accidents in past 3 years
EQUIPMENT
Truck and trailer
2007 or newer on equipment
Dry Van & reefer Only
Truck must be capable of functioning with an ELD
Pass DOT Inspection
