Gaston Real Estate Investment Company, a small business in downtown Columbia, is searching for a maintenance technician. Our portfolio consists of 115 residential & commercial rental units owned by the company. Mainly focused on student housing near the University of South Carolina campus.

What's the story on the job?
· $18-$22 per hour based on experience
· 40 (or more) hours available per week
· M-F 9-5 with some weekend work
· basic handyman tools required
· truck required
What would I be doing?
· troubleshoot common house / apartment maintenance requests
· light plumbing & electrical experience preferred
· change/repair light bulbs, locks
· install and repair appliances
· exterior/ interior painting and caulking, light drywall repair
· pressure washing
· groundskeeping, leaf blowing of breezeways and parking lots
What's required?
· background check
· 2 years+ experience
· reliable transportation to commute to our properties in downtown Columbia
· basic handyman tools
· truck
· ability to lift 40-50 pounds
