These essential employees follow all appropriate policies and procedures to ensure their machines and lines run efficiently and quality, safe, productions are available for our customers.Rates for Machine Operators range is $22 per hour based on experience and/or machineESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for operating various manufacturing machinery (grinders, blenders, slicers, packaging, etc.) in safe manner and in compliance with internal quality and safety proceduresMake independent adjustments to machine settings to maintain greatest operational efficiency while meeting all food quality and safety measuresCoordinating daily and weekly PMs with maintenance mechanics and aligning all primary functions of the machinery; collaborating with maintenance on issues related to machineryAdhere to production schedule in a timely and accurate mannerEnsure productivity by adhering to corporate manufacturing practices, standard operating procedures, critical control points and safety practicesEnsure finished products meet quality specifications by accurately conducting quality checks and sampling as instructed by SupervisorManually records data through chart recording, and makes necessary process adjustments based on data findingsClean and sanitize all equipment and facility as requiredIdentify potential problems and correct situation or notify supervisorResponsible for following all food safety policies, procedures and regulatory criteria including current SQF code, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and associated controlsAssist with training fellow team members in a supportive environmentKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIE S1 – 2 years of high speed production machinery & monitor quality products, preferredPrevious experience in changeovers and mechanical troubleshootingEffective written and verbal communication skillsGood mechanical ability including the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical abnormalities and to set up and maintain machinery making routine adjustmentsWORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSLift, push and pull a minimum of 50# repeatedlyWalking & standing for long periods of timeWork in damp or cold conditionsAbility to work 40+ hours per weekGood Attendance and Safety recordsThe schedule for this position is typically Mon - Fri. Weekend work required as scheduled.
