HR Generalist

Description We are looking for a meticulous HR Generalist to join our team in Columbia, Maryland. As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for managing various aspects of human resources, including but not limited to benefits, compensation administration, and HRIS database management. This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Manage and administer employee benefits, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations Oversee compensation administration, including salary adjustments, promotions, and bonuses Ensure company-wide compliance with labor laws and internal policies Utilize Paylocity and other HRIS databases to manage employee data and generate reports Collaborate with other departments to streamline HR processes and procedures Handle employee inquiries regarding benefits, compensation, and other HR-related matters Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures Coordinate with the recruitment team to onboard new hires efficiently Conduct regular audits of HR files and records to ensure accuracy and compliance Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive HR information. Requirements Proficient in HRIS Database management and operations Demonstrable experience in Compensation Administration Ability to oversee and manage Benefit Functions effectively Expertise in ensuring Compliance with relevant laws and regulations Proficiency in using Paylocity for HR-related tasks Broad knowledge of general HR practices and procedures Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
