Key Responsibilities:

Track and communicate food, kitchen and utensil-related supply needs to the Facility/Program Manager, maintaining adequate supplies at all times.

Prepare and serve meals according to established menus and consistent with USDA guidelines for serving size and nutritional content. Note: An alternative meal/dish offering may be required at times to meet resident dietary requirements or restrictions (e.g.; ill resident on a 'bland' diet).

Provide clean-up services during and after meals, assisting residents with plate clearing as requested.

Label and store leftovers appropriately.

Prep next day's meals, to the extent that supplies and 'freshness' allow.

Prepare food for special resident or facility events (e.g.; birthday cakes), as needed or requested.

Maintain accurate record of menu item substitutions, communicating this to the Facility/Program Manager as requested. Provide input regarding menu planning, nutrition and resident observations as necessary or requested.

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

Must be at least 21 years of age and have at least a High School Diploma or GED.

Must have an active Missouri Food Handlers Card.
