Classification Title: Clinical Assistant ProfessorCollege/Division: College of EducationDepartment: CED Leadership, Learning Design, and InquiryAdvertised Job Summary: The College of Education at the University of South Carolina seek applications for a Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor with expertise in both early childhood education and educational leadership to join our nationally recognized and award-winning faculty. This is a full-time, 9-month position. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in the Early Childhood Education program and/or the Educational Leadership program based on College of Education needs. The successful candidate will also serve as Executive Director of the South Carolina School Improvement Council. The anticipated start date is August 16, 2025.Responsibilities:The successful applicant will join a team of collaborative faculty serving two departments in a joint appointment and will be expected to (1) teach courses in early childhood education and/or educational leadership; (2) lead the South Carolina School Improvement Council; (3) provide service to the departments, institution, schools, and profession.Advertised Salary Range: Salary commensurate with qualifications.Advertised Minimum Qualifications : Applicants must have: (1) an earned doctorate in education from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization; (2) two years or the equivalent of teaching experience in early childhood and/or educational leadership; (3) evidence of effective teaching; (4) evidence of effective school leadership experience; (5) experience working with school improvement councils.Full/Part Time: Full Time
