Job Title: CAD OperatorJob DescriptionUtilize CAD (2D) and internal software programs to create and modify 2D and 3D architectural documents including submittal, fabrication, and installation drawings from a variety of sources. Prepare assembly and part drawings for fabrication of ornamental railing components. Develop cut lists and bills of material for assembly. Collaborate with managers, sales department, and other drafters on projects. Serve as technical support for marketing, sales, fabrication, and installation personnel as needed. Utilize technical manuals and directives to ensure compliance with codes, company policies, and quality standards. Review drawings and parts lists for completeness and accuracy, ensuring basic integrity of designs and layouts and compliance with building regulations and engineering principles.Responsibilities

Create and modify 2D and 3D architectural documents using CAD and internal software programs.

Prepare assembly and part drawings for the fabrication of ornamental railing components.

Develop cut lists and bills of material for assembly.

Collaborate with managers, the sales department, and other drafters on projects.

Provide technical support for marketing, sales, fabrication, and installation personnel as needed.

Use technical manuals and directives to ensure compliance with codes, company policies, and quality standards.

Review drawings and parts lists for completeness and accuracy.

Essential Skills

Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

Minimum of three years of experience utilizing CAD software post schooling.

Ability to read and understand drawings.

Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to meet deadlines.

Competency in working with Imperial and Metric systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Need to have 2-3 years of 2D experience. Company has internal 3D propriety software they will train you on.

Experience with laser scanning preferred.

Work EnvironmentThis is a full-time position working 40 hours a week in our Lancaster County facility, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as needed. This position is not eligible for remote work. We offer a complete compensation package including health insurance, paid vacation and holidays, and 401(k) with profit sharing. Our high-quality railings are all designed and manufactured in our facility located in the rolling farmlands of Central Pennsylvania.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
