Branch/Retail Banking Clerk

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Branch/Retail Banking Clerk role in Columbia, South Carolina. The position involves working in a retail banking environment where the selected candidate will be expected to handle a variety of tasks related to bank operations and customer relations. Responsibilities: Handle daily bank deposits and ensure all transactions are processed accurately Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their banking needs Provide support in various bank operations including account opening, account management, and transaction processing Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth branch operations and exceptional customer service Resolve customer inquiries related to their credit accounts promptly and professionally Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate actions to collect delinquent payments Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer credit records Process customer credit applications, ensuring all information is accurate and complete Work in compliance with all banking regulations and policies Continuously enhance banking knowledge and skills to improve performance and service delivery. Requirements Demonstrable knowledge and experience in bank operations Proficiency in maintaining bank relations and fostering a positive customer experience Experience in handling daily bank deposits and managing cash flow Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to follow strict compliance and regulatory guidelines Proficiency in using banking software and applications Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling and documentation Ability to multitask and prioritize work under pressure High level of integrity and confidentiality with handling sensitive customer information Excellent problem-solving skills to resolve customer issues and inquiries Flexibility to work in different shifts, including weekends and holidays, if required.
