A high-end bakery located in Downtown Charleston that is renowned for exceptional quality and artisan pastries is looking for a customer service associate.
This individual will be the face of our bakery, delivering a high standard of service to our valued customers. While prior experience in a bakery or pastry shop is preferred, it is not required. We value individuals who bring excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and a dedication to customer satisfaction. This position is temporary, expected to last until September/October 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist customers with their orders, providing product information and recommendations.
Process transactions accurately and efficiently using our point of sale system.
Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
Maintain product knowledge to effectively promote seasonal items, special offers, and new products.
Uphold the bakery’s high standards of service, presentation, and cleanliness.
Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
Previous customer service experience required; bakery or pastry shop experience is a plus.
Strong communication skills with the ability to remain professional and courteous in all interactions.
Attention to detail and commitment to providing excellent customer experiences.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
Flexible schedule; availability to work Saturdays is required.
A polished, professional appearance is essential.
