Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line chef to join our team at our prestigious steakhouse Grill 225 located in Downtown Charleston. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary excellence and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Line Chef, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes according to our recipes and standards, ensuring customer satisfaction with every plate served.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook meats, seafood, and other menu items according to recipes and specifications.

- Grill, broil, and sauté steaks to perfection, ensuring optimal flavor and texture.

- Assist with food preparation tasks, including butchering, marinating, and portioning.

- Coordinate with other kitchen team members to ensure timely and efficient service.

- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.

- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of food products.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a high-volume steakhouse or restaurant.

- Knowledge of meat cuts and cooking techniques, particularly for steaks and prime cuts.

- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong attention to detail and a passion for culinary excellence.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
