We strive to offer better living opportunities for individual families, which ultimately improve the lives in the communities we serve!Job DescriptionJob Title: Supplier Account ManagerPrimary Responsibilities: The Supplier Account Manager is primarily responsible for developing and maintaining a strong partnership with these strategic suppliers at both a national account level and at a local market level with both Maymont Homes’ employees and our contractors. The goal is to optimize product quality, pricing, and supply chain efficiency. The strategic insights and supplier management expertise will be crucial in achieving our goals.Skills & Competencies:

Proven experience in supplier management and account management, preferably in the construction industry.

Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience required.

Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; advanced preferred

Detail-oriented, with the ability to produce high-quality work in a deadline-oriented environment and an ability to multi-task

Ability to prove critical thinking and problem-solving concepts

Ability to thrive in a high volume, data entry, and processing work environment, where applicable

Prioritization and Time Management- Ability to understand and meet deadlines while making sure to issue accurate and timely reporting.

Critical Thinking- Thinks open-mindedly, gathers relevant information, raises questions, and communicates effectively regarding problems and solutions.

Organization/Detailed Oriented- Deadline and detail-focused to ensure accuracy in job function.

Problem Solving- Identifies problems promptly, gathers and analyses information skillfully, develops alternative solutions, resolves problems in early stages, and works well in group problem-solving situations.

Communication- Expresses ideas and thoughts clearly both in verbal and written form. Keeps others adequately informed and selects and uses appropriate communication methods.

Attention to Detail- Ensures all information is accurate and presentation is professional and well thought out.

Soft skills – Empathy with various organizational types from one-person trades to multi-state general contractors.

Essential Job Functions:The Supplier Account Manager is required to oversee our relationships with all current and future key strategic suppliers. Key current suppliers include:

Sherwin Williams, a key supplier of paint products and flooring.

Lowes, a key supplier of construction materials;

Ferguson, a key supplier of Plumbing, Appliances, and MRO materials.

MSI, a key supplier of Flooring and Countertops.

Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with strategic suppliers at all levels, from senior leadership to key account managers in each Maymont Homes market.

Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a strategic account plan for each key supplier, aligning supplier capabilities with our business objectives and ensuring a mutually beneficial partnership.

Negotiation and Contract Management: Ensure the negotiated favorable terms and conditions in supplier agreements, including pricing, delivery schedules, quality standards, and service levels are being met and being leveraged by Maymont Homes’ trade partners.

Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor supplier performance against established KPIs and take proactive measures to address any deviations.

Supply Chain Optimization: Work closely with all our strategic suppliers to optimize inventory levels, demand forecasting, and delivery schedules to ensure on-time product availability.

Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the Maymont Homes’ PJMs and Construction Analysts to establish and maintain strict quality standards for all strategic products, ensuring they meet our specifications and customer expectations.

Cost Management: Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies in the procurement process while maintaining product quality and supplier relationships.

Market Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities related to paint, flooring, appliances, and general construction material, providing insights and recommendations to the management team.

Supplier Engagement

Curate strategic supplier relationships daily.

Ensure Maymont Homes’ contractors are utilizing and leveraging our strategic supplier relationships.

Address strategic supply questions and create vendor FAQ training material.

Present and host strategic regular supplier webinars with Maymont Homes’ contractors.

Maintain an up-to-date strategic supplier database of current contacts by market and by supplier.

Proactively manage supplier invoicing performance with an ability to overview processes and analyze actuals by the supplier.

Work with cross-functional teams (Accounting, Operations, Construction, Maintenance, Project Management, and Market Leaders) to maintain a strong supplier relationship and monitor knowledge gaps.

Assist in the planning and creation of QBRs with key strategic suppliers.

Manage quarterly and annual supplier audits.

Willingness to travel >50%. Travel includes, but is not limited to, day and overnight trips across Maymont Homes markets in the Southeast and Midwest.

Other duties, as assigned by supervisor or leadership team.

Monthly supplier field liaison with contractors and Maymont Homes’ employees.

Physical Requirements

Capable of working extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.

Must be able to speak English in a clear and understandable voice so that various types of communications may be conducted with people of various levels of education and capabilities, including the exchange and receipt of information over the telephone.

Able to see well enough to read faint or partially obscured writing or printing, with corrective lenses if needed.

Position may involve sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, pushing, shoving, lifting, carrying, and moving objects that can weigh up to 25 lbs. This movement can occur throughout the day. Must also be able to climb several flights of stairs if necessary.

Must be able to interact with all types of individuals, be mentally alert, detail-oriented, and with good reasoning skills.

Must have finger dexterity for typing/using a keyboard.

Environmental Requirements

Must be able to work on more than one assignment at a time with frequent interruptions, changes, and delays. Must be able to remain focused and work effectively, efficiently, and cheerfully under such circumstances. For safety reasons, employees must remain alert to working conditions and aware of safety, health, and environmental concerns.

Must be able to work effectively and cheerfully in an environment that may be stressful due to adversarial situations resulting from the proper performance of duties.

Must be able to work in the office as regularly scheduled.
