Project Manager

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Project Manager in the Chemicals Manufacturing industry, based in Charleston, Tennessee. This role involves overseeing key functions within our Materials Management department, with a focus on training, obsolete parts, and SAP systems. Responsibilities: Oversee the management of materials throughout the warehouse, ensuring obsolete parts are dealt with efficiently. Lead the initiation and management of training protocols for new processes and procedures to ensure operations are efficient and effective. Actively participate in cross-functional meetings and lead discussions on important topics related to materials management. Manage key materials management functions, including the handling of obsolete parts. Contribute to special projects as required by the organization. Monitor the inventory of materials, ensuring efficient and cost-effective handling of all material inventory. Lead training initiatives on new processes and SAP systems. Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Project Management role within the Chemicals Manufacturing industry Proficient in using Database systems for project management tasks Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective team coordination and stakeholder management Experience in the construction aspect of Chemical Manufacturing projects Ability to create and handle Communication Materials for project updates and presentations Proficiency in using SAP and SAP MM - Materials Management for managing project resources Expertise in Excel Formulas and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes Experience in creating and managing Training Materials for team development Familiarity with MRP System and MRP - Material Requirements Planning for effective materials management Knowledge of MRP ERP System for integrated project management tasks.
