Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Payroll Administrator in Charleston, South Carolina. In this role, you will be integral to the smooth functioning of our payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely administration of payroll and related functions. Responsibilities Accurately compile timesheets and other relevant data, including commissions, bonuses, allowances, etc., for weekly entry into the payroll system. Set up and manage garnishments or other deductions for processing. Ensure accurate data entry into the payroll system and interface with it effectively. Set up direct deposit, pay cards, and manually cut checks, distributing payroll to all entities. Enter payroll summary into the general ledger on a weekly basis. Safeguard confidential data and maintain high levels of privacy. Assist in reviewing, updating, and approving new permanent onboarding records, transferring them to the HRIS/Payroll portal. Work closely with District and General Managers, supporting employees with payroll related requests. Coordinate with the Human Resource Manager in responding to correspondence from government agencies regarding payroll information. Undertake special projects as assigned, demonstrating flexibility to occasionally extend working hours. Utilize Microsoft Office Applications, Windows operating systems, and Excel skills for effective job performance.
