If you want to make an impact on a global scale, come make a difference at Fiserv.Job TitleMainframe CICS Systems EngineerMainframe CICS Systems EngineerWhat does a successful Mainframe CICS Systems Engineer, Advisor I do at Fiserv?As a Mainframe CICS Systems Engineer, Advisor I, you will play a pivotal role in providing senior-level technical support for Fiserv's IBM mainframe-based CICS/TS solutions. Your expertise will encompass installation, implementation, administration, and maintenance, contributing to the seamless operation of critical systems supporting Fiserv's global Issuing, Acquiring, and Payments clients. Your work will directly impact high availability and efficiency within a global technical environment.What you will do:

Lead the installation, implementation, testing, and performance optimization of large-scale IBM CICS/TS implementations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Development and Operations, to facilitate smooth project implementations.

Maintain and fine-tune CICS/TS system configurations for optimal performance and availability.

Contribute to the development and upkeep of CICS/TS standards and roadmaps.

Offer global on-call support to ensure uninterrupted system functionality.

Engage with internal and external clients to implement CICS/TS solutions and address technical challenges.

Actively participate in Disaster Recovery exercises to maintain system resilience.

Conduct root cause analysis for system incidents, including storage violations, and provide dump analysis and problem determination.

Collaborate with computer operations to expedite incident resolution and automate operational processes.

Uphold High Availability and performance standards specified by customers and management for operating systems and software components.

Administer systems using IBM and Independent Software Vendor products.

Leverage CICSPlex administration and CICS Explorer to optimize system performance.

Apply JAVA-based applications, including Liberty Profile, to enhance system functionality.

Utilize your previous experience with z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition or IBM MQ to augment system capabilities.

10+ years hands-on experience in supporting CICS/TS within a large IBM z/OS Mainframe environment.

Profound expertise in IBM Assembler or REXX programming languages.

Demonstrated experience in mainframe software installation, maintenance, and support.

degree in Computer Science/Management or equivalent educational and work experience.

Ability to successfully undergo government background checks for necessary clearances.

What would be great to have:

Familiarity with z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition or IBM MQ.

Proven experience with CICSPlex administration and CICS Explorer.

Knowledge of JAVA-based applications, particularly Liberty Profile.
