Join a team where you can make a difference.Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef , Regional Operations Support to support our food service team at Kent Hospital in Warwick, RI . This position will also support other Healthcare locations within the geography. Kent Hospital is a 359-bed, nonprofit, acute care hospital serving approximately 300,000 residents and known to be the 2nd largest single site hospital in the state.In this Executive Chef, Regional Operations Support role, you will manage a team of approximately 25 client employees in a union environment. This position is full time but temporary and can last for up to or longer than 18 months, with the potential of leading to a permanent role with Sodexo.The successful candidate will:

implement and standardize all culinary systems and procedures for hospital

manage, direct, and mentor frontline staff

procurement and purchasing

create menus based on client needs

implement innovative and fresh ideas in retail, catering, and patient services

create interpersonal relationships with client

We are looking for candidates who have:

a strong culinary background in a high-volume environment

strong management skills and experience

menu planning experience and a strong understanding of current culinary trends

proficient computer skills, highly organized, and detail-focused

a proven ability to set up processes, create efficiencies, and solve problems with little to no direction

ServSafe Certified with proven working knowledge of HAACP
