PBC is seeking a Unit Assistant join our Warwick, RI team. This position will work remotely a few days a week. While insurance experience is not preferred, candidate should have a strong desire to learn.Job PurposeTo support the strategic advancement of PBCs Carrier reporting, workflow, projects, forecasting, performance management, and business decisions. The role will require collaboration with the business analyst team on a variety of challenging projects using creative problem solving, as well as repetitive bi monthly/monthly reporting requirements for internal and external parties.Functions & Responsibilities

Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions.

Gather data and required information, convert it into various formats and reports.

Create and maintain shared dashboards and reports for performance management, forecasting, and data modelling.

Identify opportunities for process enhancements and drive initiatives that improve efficiency and effectiveness. Work on projects to increase use of automation and streamlined workflow.

Create process maps and flowcharts to visualize business processes and identify areas for improvement.

Support change management initiatives by helping teams adapt to new processes and systems.

Produce clear and comprehensive documentation, including business requirements documents, user manuals, and process documentation.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize business requirements.

Qualifications

2-3 years related experience

Valid P&C license preferred

Understanding of database concepts and experience with querying databases to extract relevant data.

Basic understanding of statistical methods and tools for data analysis and decision-making.

Experience with BI tools to help organizations make data-driven decisions.

Proficiency in tools like Excel (including use of VBA), SQL, and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)

Understanding of APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) and how they integrate with various systems.

Knowledge of process modeling and business modeling tools

Some knowledge of insurance helpful but not required
