Experience Level:Intermediate LevelDescription:
Performs routine set up, operation, preventative maintenance (PM) and reports troubleshooting ofbasic manufacturing equipment via manual or semi-automated means.
Controls and adjusts machine settings.
Inspects in-process parts to ensure consistent quality and removes defective product, packaging, and component material.
Assists with root-cause analysis activities for processor product exceptions.
Identifies and escalates any issues associated with the machine performance and/or product quality
Set up and operate some CNC lathes and mill with minimal supervision.
Make machine adjustments as required to maintain print specifications
Maintain proper documentation of data and collaborate with management and department lead
Inspect faces, heights and diameters using various metrology equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gages and drop indicators to determine product conformance.
Load and unload machines as per the cycle time noted on the router
Determine when wheels and/or tools need replacement
Assist in determining tooling & fixturing needs
Observe machine operations to detect any problems, making necessary adjustments to correct problems.
Move machine controls to index work pieces, and to adjust machines for pre-selected operational settings.
Study blueprints, work orders, or machining instructions to determine product specifications, tool requirements, and operational sequences.
Study drawings, work orders, or machining instructions to determine product specifications, toll requirements, and operation sequences.
Produces assigned parts to specifications while meeting performance standards
Maintains equipment according to daily and weekly schedules
Notifies supervisor and other personnel of production problems and assists in identifying and correcting these problems
Maintaining a strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment
Acts in a self-confident manner to facilitate completion of a work assignment
Pays close attention to the details of the tasks being performed in the area
Possess strong self-motivation, drive and takes initiative to reach goals and target assignments
Identifies and addresses safety concerns and adheres to all safety guidelines
Perform other duties as assigned
Skills:manufacturing, micrometers, Cnc, Machine operationAdditional Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum three (3) years of CNC experience required.
Regular and predictable attendance.
Prior experience with operation of high-speed, manual, or semi-automatic production machinery.
Experience with GD&T.
Ability to read and write in English
Must have strong math skills.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.
Basic tool, machine operator, and blueprint reading
