SkillBridge connects Service members with industry partners in real-world job experiences under Dept. of Defense Instruction 1322.29. Separating Service members can be granted up to 180 days of permissive duty to focus solely on training full-time with approved industry partners after unit commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command) provides written authorization and approval. GE HealthCare as a Skill Bridge partner offers real-world training and work experience in in-demand fields of work while having the opportunity to evaluate the Service member’s suitability for the work. Military DoD SkillBridge participants are not eligible for compensation from GE HealthCare, as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits as active-duty service members.Job DescriptionMUST BE ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY TO QUALIFYOverview:We are seeking a proactive and dynamic individual to join our team as a Program Specialist. This role is instrumental in supporting the development, implementation, and growth of our internship program. The Program Specialist will work closely with various departments to ensure a seamless and enriching experience for interns while contributing to the organization's talent pipeline.Responsibilities:Program Development:

Collaborate with HR and department managers to develop internship program goals, objectives, and structure.

Design internship program materials, including handbooks, guides, and training materials.

Recruitment and Selection:

Coordinate with HR to attract top-tier candidates through various channels, including college partnerships, job boards, and social media.

Assist in screening resumes, conducting interviews, and selecting qualified candidates.

Onboarding and Orientation:

Plan and execute comprehensive orientation sessions for incoming interns.

Facilitate introductions and networking opportunities with key stakeholders across the organization.

Training and Development:

Collaborate with department heads to develop training plans and learning objectives for interns.

Monitor intern progress and provide ongoing support and guidance as needed.

Program Administration:

Maintain accurate records of intern placements, assignments, and evaluations.

Coordinate logistical aspects of the internship program, including scheduling, workspace allocation, and equipment provision.

Evaluation and Feedback:

Conduct regular evaluations to assess the effectiveness of the internship program.

Solicit feedback from interns, supervisors, and other stakeholders to identify areas for improvement.

Community Engagement:

Foster relationships with bases, military programs, and other educational institutions to promote the internship program.

Represent the organization at career fairs, networking events, and industry conferences.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in program coordination, preferably in an educational or corporate setting.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

Familiarity with internship best practices, employment laws, and compliance regulations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software applications.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience.
