We are looking for an experienced frontend developer with expertise in the Vue.js ecosystem.
Okay, so the Big Hairy Audacious Goal (BHAG) – We are building THE intelligence layer for the energy sector. Full stop.
To start, we will use LLMs in concert with "traditional" Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques, to build the world leading solution for understanding all the documents that underpin the energy sector. We've validated the customer pain point and have commitments from multi-billion dollar energy companies. We are currently negotiating exclusive data usage agreements on 40+ years of historical energy sector data to ensure long-term product differentiation. We are well-capitalized by friends and family.
My co-founder and I have worked together for 7+ years at a publicly traded company (LivePerson) and an LLM research startup (Cohere) commercializing natural language processing research. We’ve built global Tier 1 ML services before that underpinned flagship enterprise products. We’re now going after one of the largest sectors, energy.
If things go well, which we have strong evidence to support they will, you’ll have the opportunity to build out a team if so desired.
Responsibilities:
- In-person, collaboratively share strong opinions with our Lead Designer, CTO, and CEO (me) to define our annotation and end-user UI/UX
- Rebuild the Doccano frontend to enable lawyers to do complex annotation tasks on energy sector documents
- Build the sector-defining intelligent-layer UI/UX for understanding the documents that underpin 10% of global GDP, i.e., $11 trillion
- Partner with our in-house designer to build a shockingly good website, like, really really good…
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or IT (or equivalent experience)
- At least 5+ years of experience in Vue.js and JavaScript development
- Expertise in Vue.js framework and its core principles (Vue CLI, Vuex, Vue Router, and Nuxt.js)
- Must have strong, well-considered opinions on why Liverpool is the best club. Please make a brief argument in support or disagreement of this when applying.
- Proficient with JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap UI
- Experience in responsive web application development
- Knowledge of deployment strategies and related configurations management
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, React.JS, and Node.js
