construction for high-end residential properties and large-scale commercial projects. Founded

in 1976, SCPB has an impeccable reputation for superb craftsmanship and customer service.

We are looking for someone with a passion for partnering with clients in building beautiful

structures of environmentally friendly materials in a highly collaborative team environment.

The CnC operator/programmer will be responsible for operating our Hundegger K2 machine

from instruction files all the way through offloading of material. The ideal candidate will have

an appreciation for the convergence of cutting-edge milling technology and authentic wood

joinery.

Primary responsibilities

 Reading of plans and understanding them in the context of piece fabrication

 Understanding the conversion of Autocad design files into K2 machine instructions

 Refine machine instructions based on size and species of material against different cut

angles, drilling, and other milling operations

 Review material lists generated by machine instructions in order to create an optimized

material order

 Operate and oversee machine execution of instructions via a computer-controlled

terminal

 Load and offload material (sometimes with a forklift – training is available)

 Monitor output of cut material for quality and accuracy

 Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair basic mechanical functions of the machine

 Manage multiple projects in parallel, which may each be in their own stage of

production

 Understand, apply, and abide by safety standards in compliance with local and federal

law

 Partner with designers, project managers and shop craftspeople to deliver against

projected timelines while adapting to change

 Present and describe work status on projects currently in production

Qualifications

 CnC fabrication experience preferred but not required

 Strong prioritization skills and ability to re-prioritize in a dynamic environment

 Proficient with standard Microsoft office tools: Outlook, Word, and Excel

 Expert listening and communication skills

 Positive, proactive and helpful attitude
