Pre-Closing
This position is responsible for reviewing title searches and identifying any and all issues which will generate clear titles. This involves clearing any and all defects in title reports and/or property and judgment reports to maintain compliance status. It is this positions responsibility for providing accurate and timely communication of all updates, details, etc. to all parties involved in transaction
Daily functions can include
Read and interpret title searches, legal descriptions, and title vestings
Review of preliminary title report to determine if any irregularities exist
Order and follow up on all necessary clearance documents
Investigates and interprets tax records in order to determine tax liability
Creates title files and prepares endorsements and supplemental documents
Reviewing underwriting approval for each clear to close loan file to ensure that all prior to closing conditions have been cleared
Requirements:
Must have 2+ years in title industry experience
Must have excellent verbal/written communications kills
Must be flexible and adapt to change quickly
Must have critical thinking and problem solving skills
Must have strong organizational and multi tasking skills
Must show strong initiative
Must work well in a fast paced team driven environment
Necessary computer programs knowledge and use: Microsoft Outlook (email), Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel. Resware experience a plus.
