Durastone corporation is looking for a full-time concrete laborer. This is full time union position and we are looking to fill it immediately. Ideal candidates will have experience with forming, pouring and finishing concrete. rebar tying and fabrication/ related work experience is a plus
Responsibilities and Duties
Strip and clean concrete forms
Rebar, wire mesh handling, prepare concrete forms
Pour & finish concrete into prepared forms
Housekeeping- keep work stations & shop clean and free of hazards
Physical Requirements
Frequently lift and/or move up to 50lbs or more
Ability to stand and walk on feet all day
Squatting, crouching, kneeling, bending & twisting of the body or neck may be required to facilitate the lifting of items to add to the production process
Talk and hear in loud environments
Use hands and fingers to handle, push, grab frequently
Wear personal protective equipment all day
Work environment can be cold/hot, dirty and noisy. The employee must be able to perform the physical demands of the job.
Qualifications and Skills
Ability to multi-task is a must
Ability to work independently in a safe manner
Ability to use and read a tape measure
Must be able to work Monday through Friday
