Position Description

The Events Team is a valuable component of Gracie’s service. These teammates help to provide a memorable dining experience at Gracie’s, supporting events and making sure service runs smoothly. Gracie’s Ventures Will Provide:
-Hands-on involvement with the leadership team and front/back-of-house operations as it pertains to Gracie’s Events Server & Bartender

Key Responsibilities
Include, but are not limited to:
-Delivering a consistently high level of customer service to each guest
-Serving food to guests and engaging with them about what is being served
-Maintaining in-depth knowledge of the events menu and tasting menu, including allergy and ingredient information
-Organizing and delivering necessary markings to guests
-Preparing coffee and tea orders efficiently and accurately, upholding Gracie’s standards
-Participating in team education on food, beverage, and service
-Clearing, cleaning, and resetting each table after the guest leaves in accordance with the Gracie’s SOP
-Maintaining a clean and orderly workspace, and upholding Gracie’s cleanliness standards, and RI Health Codes
-Maintaining TIPS Certification
-Participating in creative conversations for future improvements and goals in an open forum
-Maintaining in-depth knowledge of both culinary and beverage menus
-Able to execute and prepare cocktail recipes to specifications and uphold Gracie’s high standards of service
-Maintaining a safe environment by identifying guests who have over-indulged and alerting Shift Leader

Compensation
Position Type: Part Time (Under 30 Hrs./Week)
Shift Outlook: . Training period per leader's discretion
Pay: Hourly Non-Exempt
This position is an hourly position (base pay of $15-$16/hr., base pay of $20/hr. if bartending or leading service), plus additional gratuity from event itself when applicable
Performance Schedule: 90-day informal check-in, 6-month discussion opportunity, 9-12 month formal review

Compensation is determined by experience and performance. Additional compensatory packages and options are at the discretion of the Proprietor and are determined every year.
