Job DescriptionThis Vice President will have demonstrated experience in cloud services roles (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS). Ideally, s/he will be a “product person” – a creator, explorer, builder, analyzer optimizer – someone who instinctively analyzes products and experiences to resolve how to make them better. More specifically, s/he will have the experience described below:

Sound understanding of the fundamentals of Computer Science and practical experience building large-scale distributed systems. Someone who enjoys working on complex system software, is very customer-centric, and feels strongly not only about building great software but about making that software achieve its goals in operational reality.

Experience thinking strategically about the needs of customers in a fast-changing health data market and translating it into product requirements

Passion for and ability to customer needs and the ability to lead an organization to deliver and launch scalable solutions.

Deep product and market expertise in Cloud offerings, including customer/user needs, competitive landscape, and key trends in the industry.

Experience delivering products to highly regulatory constrained public sector customers is highly desirable

Stay abreast of the latest innovations in the cloud health technology space and apply them as appropriate to Oracle Health's service offerings.

Product vision & strategy: Ability to create and communicate a compelling vision for Oracle’s products and optimal strategies/roadmaps to achieve the vision. Will identify and drive the right opportunities for us to innovate and differentiate. Able to make difficult trade-off decisions.

Excellent communication and cross-functional teamwork skills. Able to handle challenging meetings with internal and external executives.

Thorough understanding of engineering and operational processes, techniques, best practices, and the ability to help optimize/redefine processes.

Hands-on – not just a leader/talker but also wants to roll up her/his sleeves to get the job done.

Responsibilities

Own the technology vision, strategy, and product roadmap for our Consumer and RevCycle Middle Office product portfolio. Envision and communicate product strategy and functionality.

Draw from a deep and broad technical expertise to mentor engineers and provide leadership on complex technical issues

You will collaborate closely with the leadership team to own our overall strategy and define the team’s road map

You will also drive the system architecture, spearhead best practices that enable a quality product, and help coach and develop engineers on the team

Foster and maintain strong/positive relationships across other groups and teams within Oracle. Stay abreast of the latest innovations in IaaS cloud computing including Kubernetes, advanced Containerization solutions, and the cloud technology space. Apply them as appropriate to Oracle's service offerings.

Lead by example, setting a clear culture of teamwork, high expectations, success, and customer first focus.

Recruit and retain the best technical talent for OHAI services and infrastructure.

Take responsibility for the horizontal initiatives including the development of common components for all Oracle Cloud Services and drive adoption over multiple business units.

Manage and coach a team of Software Engineering Leaders, helping them grow their skills and maximize their impact. Coach and lead the team to create user experiences that deliver remarkable products.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
