Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a detail-oriented Payroll Manager in Providence, Rhode Island, 02903, United States. This role is within the telecom provider industry, and the successful candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processing, data verification, and tax requirements across multiple systems. Responsibilities: Manage payroll processing in compliance with local tax laws to ensure accurate allocation of funds and reconciliation Collaborate across functions to manage monthly and quarterly processes such as generating W-2, 1099 and other regulatory forms Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of global processes to enhance efficiency and reduce payroll operation errors Manage tax requirements for each location, coordinating with finance & accounting Complete registrations for all necessary locations and maintain payment schedules for all taxes not directly processed by ADP Establish tax configuration standards for the HR Shared Services team, ensuring accurate application of all Federal, State, and local tax requirements Utilize 'ADP Workforce Now' for data processing and benefit functions to ensure compliance. Requirements Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now software Strong experience in Data Processing Knowledge and understanding of Benefit Functions Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations Ability to manage and oversee payroll processes and procedures Experience in preparing and maintaining accurate records and reports of payroll transactions Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Good communication skills, both verbal and written Experience in managing a team would be advantageous Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
